stuhrCurrently, Director of the Portland Water Bureau, Mr. Stuhr served previously as the Bureau’s Chief Engineer for 10 years and Group Director of the Construction and Maintenance Group for two years. Combined, Mr. Stuhr has more than 40 years experience leading and managing a wide variety of engineering activities including twenty-two years of distinguished service as a military officer in the United States Army Corps of Engineers including tours as Director of Public Works, Deputy District Engineer, and Deputy Division Engineer.    He has been involved in a variety of emergency response activities in the United States and Europe including flood fights on the Missouri, Snake and Sacramento-San Joaquin River systems, and Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in Louisiana. Mr. Stuhr graduated from the United States Military Academy with a B.S. in Engineering. He has an MSCE in geotechnical engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from University of California, Davis. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Oregon and California.  He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association, American Public Works Association, and is a Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers.
