Dr. Thomas Wall is an Infrastructure and Preparedness Analyst with the Risk and Infrastructure Science Center of Argonne National Laboratory. In this role, Tom supports the Department of Homeland Security’s Regional Resilience Assessment Program (RRAP) whereby he directly engages with communities and regional stakeholders to identify infrastructure risks and dependencies, and then develop strategies to enhance the resilience of those systems. To date, this work has focused primarily on coastal infrastructure systems and the impacts of climate change and extreme weather events.
Tom received an Honors BS in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University, and an MS and PhD in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His PhD is in the area of transportation systems engineering, with a specific focus on transportation infrastructure management and decision-making, and climate change adaptation.
